The company was founded in 1983 when Andrew LeBlanc decided to make a move from working in a local manufacturing plant to something more innovative and challenging.  Having a background in mechanical engineering from his time spent in the U.S. military, combined with time spent working locally in the field of automobile interiors, contract stitching was chosen as the path to follow.  The company started in Andrew’s basement with one sewing machine.  As demand increased, machines were purchased, craftspeople hired and a factory built.

In the years that followed, one of the country’s leading suppliers of ergonomic office seating and zero gravity recliners needed manufacturing help so they approached Andrew LeBlanc Company.  In the early 1990’s, Andrew LeBlanc Company began manufacturing the majority of their products.  Jeff Arsenault, Andrew’s son-in-law joined the company in 1997, bringing a business background and streamlining operations and sales. In 2004, one of the company’s clients decided to move their manufacturing off shore.  For the LeBlanc Company, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Capitalizing on Andrew’s mechanical engineering experience, the company developed a superior zero-gravity recliner mechanism.  From that platform, a line of zero gravity recliners was developed.

Andrew LeBlanc Company is now one of the country's leading manufacturers of zero-gravity chairs.
